Software for your organization
Our service looks to help organizations who are looking for a better fit for their internal information management and process needs
Custom software with less pain
Our service looks to provide basic custom software while reducing the pain associated with the process of developing custom software
My Journey
In 2017, I heard stories from friends and family wanting software for managing airplane maintenance records, investment documents, and a photography business.
That is when I started building InfoSecretary as a framework to create basic custom software solutions that are:
- easy to use
- fast to implement
- cost effective
While working on InfoSecretary, I began to better understand many of the pain points of custom software development. I began to also develop an associated process to minimize these pain points.

Less misunderstandings
Our process
I do in weeks what would take months using traditional software development methods. This reduces costs, time spent, and risks.
Step 1: Consultation
I meet with your organization to understand your organization’s information:
• the different types of information
• relationship between types of information
• how types of information could be used
Step 2: Implemention
I configure your organization’s new system using:
• information collected
• my past software experience
Step 3: Review
Within days, we meet again to review what I designed. We talk about:
• what works well
• what does not work well
• new problems uncovered
Next Steps: Iterate
Multiple cycles will be needed to design the initial system. After that, we can iterate to:
• adjust for actual usage
• help with additional problems
• expand to new areas

The 80/20 rule and InfoSecretary
The Pareto principle states that for many outcomes, roughly 80% of consequences come from 20% of causes. Said a different way with software in mind, 80% of the benefit comes from 20% of the features.
InfoSecretary focuses on a subset of features for supporting information that organizations look to manage with the following attributes:
- internal facing
- human processable
While InfoSecretary strives to do many things well, it cannot do everything expertly. Tasks that InfoSecretary will likely never be able to perform include:
- processing a ton of numbers… Examples of complex mathematics include detailed financial accounting or aggregating engineering data
- creating an external facing website… There are many purpose built alternatives that can do this quite competently
If there is any doubt on how well InfoSecretary could manage your organization’s information, please reach out.

I am looking to help small/medium organizations with problems they have managing information internally.
If your organization is interested in seeing if InfoSecretary can help with your internal information problems, I would love to try to help.
